ACREL Anti-reflux Energy Meter for Philippines Solar Project

Background

The power grid company requires the photovoltaic grid-connected system to be a non-reverse current power generation system, which means that the electricity generated by the photovoltaic grid-connected system is consumed by the local load, and the excess electricity is not allowed to be reversely transmitted to the upper power grid through the low-voltage distribution transformer.

When the photovoltaic inverter converts the direct current generated by photovoltaic modules into alternating current, there will be defects such as direct current components and harmonics, three-phase current imbalance, and output power uncertainty.
At present, there are basically no effective governance measures.
Therefore, when the generated power is sent to the public grid, it will cause harmonic pollution to the grid, which will easily cause grid voltage fluctuations, flicker, etc.
If there are many such power generation sources to transmit power to the grid, it will lead to a serious decline in the power quality of the grid.
Therefore, this type of photovoltaic power generation system must be equipped with anti-reflux facilities to prevent the occurrence of reverse power.

Function

When the photovoltaic power generation is greater than the load demand, reverse power will be generated. Therefore, we need the Anti-reflux Energy Meter to judge.
When the inverter has over-power output, the Anti-reflux Energy Meter sends a signal through RS485 communication to interact with the inverter data to adjust the output power of the inverter to balance the output power and the power consumption.
